What a Time We Had

by Marc Freak

1.
Your beauty excites and it blinds You truly are dressed to the nines You're one of my favourite finds of all Your smile also makes me smile Which I have not done in a while Lets walk hand in hand down the aisle this fall CHORUS And I question is that me? Is it just some fantasy? Could it all break in a heartbeat heartbreak I would never let that be I've pages and pages of lines Of how you are dressed to the nines You simply are just sublime it seems Your laugh also makes me laugh We roll around the floor really daft I wanted, I prayed and I have the dream CHORUS Your beauty excites and it blinds You truly are dressed to the nines You're one of my favourite finds of all Favourite finds of all
2.
We're out of time But what a time we had And as everything rots and decays we stayed War and disease And lots of unpleasant happenings A true love is exactly what we displayed as we fade CHORUS I will hold you 'till we're the only ones that stand Arms together linked as the lava melts the ground I will hold you firm as we vanish into time Your memories at one with mine No last regrets You could not make this moment better What's in the past is left in the past and won't last Difficult times But what a time that we had Clutched together we'll wither to dust with no fuss CHORUS
3.
I'd swim through seas of fire and brimstone To nestle in your arms I'd fight the dragons and slay the monsters To protect you from harm CHORUS What I'd do to get to you And these promises are true I have no super strength I have no secret route I just battle through I'd climb the tallest most jagged mountain And I'd sleep within the snow I'd walk upon a ledge of spikes And I'd take the mightiest blow CHORUS
4.
She trudged through the mud Licking her fingers to savour that one last meal Conscious of the townsfolk at her heels Conscious Just conscious from the beating she fled Left half dead Stinking of puss, cum, sweat and dirt There were stains all down her skirt That provided memories of the good times The bad times Each penny she had earnt From the trade she'd learnt And how the townsfolk mocked her for it But she just did what she did to make ends meet To put shoes on her children's feet And food in their hungry mouths She listened, sure that she could hear them crying from afar But they were tucked up safely in their beds Sure to be looked after by some kindly family Who tell damaging tales of what mother was like Stalking the streets at night Propositioning under the moonlight But as she cried "Murder! Murder! Murder!" Nobody heard her Nobody chose to hear
